September 25 – Join Main Street staff member Sam for a virtual tour of his horse farm and learn about what it is like to care for horses!
October 9 – Join Michelle Mekarski from Canada Science And Technology Museum for an in-depth look at “sea monsters” and dinosaurs!
October 23 – Tyler Katz joins us to share their love and expertise of insects! In “What’s the Buzz? A guided tour of the world of insects,” Tyler will show us how insects are not only our most common neighbors, but also foundational members of our ecosystems. We’ll take a look at some of their insect collection, including some live praying mantises. Tyler will give us a brief overview of their research on native bees, and provide us with some tips and tricks for supporting the health and security of these crucial creatures.
November 6 – Member Share- Main Street members will have the opportunity to present their favorite animals to the group. Please email Ben if you want to volunteer to be part of the share!
November 20 – Join us as we dive into the underwater world and explore coral reefs and marine life!
December 11 – Join outdoor educator Sonia Veiga, as she shares her love for the outdoors with us. Sonia has worked in a variety of amazing locations including Yosemite and Prince William Forest National Parks and is looking forward to virtually exploring all that the outdoors have to offer with us!
