About this event

This year, November 8th is Election Day for Maryland’s next governor. The Candidates for Governor Forum for Marylanders with Disabilities is an event that is co-sponsored by the Maryland Disabilities Forum (MDF) and the National Federation of the Blind (NFB), both 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations headquartered in Maryland and serving thousands of individuals with disabilities throughout the state.

Marylanders with disabilities, organizations that support people with disabilities, and other stakeholders are invited to the 2022 Candidates for Governor Forum for Marylanders with Disabilities. You will have the opportunity to hear from the official republican and democratic candidates for governor in a timed and moderated conversation regarding issues that are important to us all. The forum will take place on Tuesday, October 4th, from 10 AM to 12 PM.

Candidates for Maryland Governor Wes Moore (D) and Dan Cox (R) will be in attendance.

Forum Highlights include listening to the candidates for governor speak during a moderated question and answer (Q&A) session* and information about voter registration.

*Candidates will get most questions before the event, but some questions from attendees may be taken if we have time.

The Forum is free to attend online, we just ask that you register to attend the event.

Accommodations: During the event, American Sign Language interpretation, CART services, and Spanish interpretation will be available. Please just let us know on the registration form if you need any of these accommodations!
