Meet up with fellow Main Street members on Sunday, March 1, for the closing night of the ReelAbilities Film Festival at the Pozez JCC of Northern Virginia. ReelAbilities promotes awareness and appreciation of the lives, stories and artistic expressions of people with different disabilities. On March 1, three short films will be shown including Living Art, a documentary that tells the story of Main Street member Mara Clawson who lives with Familial Dysautonomia and whose stunning art became her means of communication and livelihood.
The screenings will be followed by Q & A with Mara and the director of Living Art David Rochkind. There will also be a closing reception for Mara’s art exhibition, Loving Nature and Food, in the J’s Bodzin Art Gallery.
We’ll meet at 6:30 pm. The films begin at 7 pm.
If you wish to attend:
1) Purchase a ticket here.
2) If you want to connect with other Main Street members, e-mail Sharon at email@example.com so we know you are coming.
We hope you can make it to support and celebrate the work of Mara Clawson!
