Main Street seeks to provide opportunities for conversations on critical topics with the goal of building a more equitable society. In January 2021, we hosted Conversations Matter, a four-part series that explored what it means to embrace racial justice and foster systemic change. We followed up with The Conversation Continues in November 2022 focusing on the topic of allyship with marginalized groups.
Our next conversation is scheduled for Thursday, November 9, at 7:30 pm. This time, we are partnering with the City of Rockville and BlackRock Center for the Arts for another engaging discussion led by Dr. Rodney Glasgow, Head of Sandy Spring Friends School and Principal Consultant at The Glasgow Group. Dr. Glasgow will guide a discussion about ways in which participants feel safe and unsafe in the midst of what we are seeing in the world today – and how we can support and connect with one another. Participants will have an opportunity to explore these topics through conversation and artistic expression.
