We are so grateful for your participation in Neighborhood Safety Day hosted by Main Street and the City of Rockville Police! Here is some important info to help you enjoy the day.

Arrival, Check-In, and Setup:

When you arrive, please go to the check-in table in front of Soulfull Cafe. We will show you where to setup and help if you need it. Please note:

  • The street will be shut down at 9:00 am.
  • Setup will go from 9:15 am – 10:15 am. Please plan to be fully set up between 10:15 am and 10:30 am.
  • The event will go from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.

Registration: Please register for the event through this webpage, so you can get all the updates. Also, if you are bringing colleagues, friends and family (and we hope you will!), please also have them register.

Promoting the event: Please share this event with your networks and communities! It is free and open to all. Here are materials to help:

Weather: This event is rain or shine so please watch the weather and plan accordingly. If there is heavy rain, we will be able to move many tables into the building and others will be in the driveway under cover. Vehicles will be on the street without cover.

Tables and Tablecloths: If you need Main Street to provide a table and chairs and/or tablecloth, please reach out to Julie through our contact form.

Canopies: If you have a canopy and weights you can bring, please do!  That will be helpful for bright sun or light rain. Main Street is not able to provide canopies.

Location:  The event will take place in front of Main Street at 50 Monroe Place, Rockville, MD 20850. Monroe Place will be blocked off at 9:00 am.

Getting there and parking: 

  • Metered street parking is available on surrounding streets will be free during the time of the event!
  • Public parking garages are located at:
  • There will be limited parking available in the lot at 90 Monroe Street.
  • Public transportation: Main Street is 500 feet from the Rockville Metro and bus station and there is a pedestrian overpass over Rockville Pike.

Drop Off Points: There are two options for dropping people off:

  • On northbound Monroe Street, use the right turn lane at the intersection with Monroe Place. (Monroe Place will be closed at 9:00 am so the right turn lane will not be in use for through traffic.)
  • The circle in front of the Montgomery County Circuit Court at the intersection of Monroe Street and Monroe Place.

Event “Passport”: Participants will be given a booklet when they check in. If they visit a certain number of exhibitors, they will get a prize from the Main Street table. Please bring a pen or stamp to mark the participants passports.

Food and Drink: Food will be available for purchase from the Soulfull Cafe and food trucks.

Water bottles: We encourage everyone to bring a refillable water bottle to reduce waste. There are drinking fountains and a place to refill water bottles inside the Main Street building near the restrooms.

Restrooms:

  • A single bathroom is available in Soulfull Cafe.
  • Bathrooms with multiple stalls are available in the Main Street building.

Staff: Main Street staff will be wearing purple t-shirts. Let us know how we can help!
