Right out of law school Rob spent his time as a reporter covering Capitol Hill for a number of print news outlets. From 1994-1998 he published more than 350 articles and essays in over 50 publications including The Washington Post, The Legal Times and The Miami Herald.
In 1998 Rob left journalism and purchased a market research publishing business from FIND/SVP (now Guideline). In 2000 he launched Marketresearch.com, and since then has led the acquisitions of Newsletters.com (2000), Mindbranch, Inc. (2005), Profound (2007), Simba Information (2008), Education Market Research (2013) and The Freedonia Group (2016). Today Marketresearch.com is the largest retailer of market research information with a catalog of 700 publishers and 1,000,000 reports.
Rob and his wife Jill have three children, Joshua (20), Jessica (18) and Natalie (16) at The University of Pennsylvania, University of Michigan and The Jewish Day School, respectively. Rob has held several board positions and been involved in a number of philanthropic and civic organizations including the Young Presidents Organization (Numerous positions), DC Jewish Community Center, The Sweetland Writers Center (Advisory Committee), Jewish Foundation for Group Homes (Board), Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, The Friendship Circle, Charles E Smith Jewish Day School (Budget and Finance Committee), University of Michigan Hillel (Board).
