BETHESDA MAGAZINE (9/17/2020) – Rockville’s Dawson’s Market has partnered with the affordable housing apartment building Main Street to open Soulfull Café, a coffee shop in the bottom of the building.

Soulfull Café held its grand opening on Wednesday and “soft opened” last week, Dawson’s owner Bart Yablonsky told Bethesda Beat.

Soulfull Café serves coffee, pastries, sandwiches and desserts.

Yablonsky said the café is open Tuesday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is closed Sunday and Monday.

Yablonsky said he hopes to expand those hours, but he is taking things slowly because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Main Street is an affordable housing community that opened this summer at 50 Monroe Place. Of its 70 units, one quarter are for adults with disabilities and the other 75% are for households making below the area’s median income.

Yablonsky said Soulfull Café’s staff will include people with disabilities who live in Main Street.
