Main Street is so much more than an apartment building. The main floor of 50 Monroe Place houses a community center with social, cultural, wellness and personal development programs, as well as clubs and special events. We are proud to have a growing, inclusive community of members connecting virtually and in-person.

Main Street offers two (2) membership options: CORE (a la carte/pay per program) and PLUS (all-inclusive). Both options allow members to register and attend all Main Street programs (member events and community events) and include access to a Member Portal, as well as a private Facebook community.

As a member of Main Street you are an important part of a community that values and celebrates people of all abilities.

How to Become a Main Street Member

We want everyone to be a member of our inclusive Main Street community! Financial assistance is available to help cover membership fees. Assistance is based on need and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact us to inquire about an application. The process is confidential.

Frequently Asked Questions

Community events are open to non-members. For most community events, non-members will have to pay a fee. Member events are open to Main Street members only.

Yes. We welcome you to try out a program before signing up for your membership! Please contact us to make arrangements. We do offer 1-2 events each month that are open to the community at large. See our community events here.

Yes. You must be a Main Street member to register for and participate in Main Street Connect programs.

Main Street offered a Professional Membership in 2018 and 2019. We are in the process of designing a new Professional Membership to align with our current membership options. Plus membership is a great value for someone who plans to attend Main Street events on a regular, weekly basis. Core membership is ideal for someone who plans to attend between 1-4 Main Street events per month.

Plus membership is all-inclusive; Plus members can attend all Main Street events without additional fees. Core members can register for any Main Street event at a special member rate ($5-$15 each). Program and event fees can be found at the very top of the description of each event on our calendar.

We do not know when it will be safe to open the building, including the gym, to non-residents. The fee for “Full Community Center Access” that would include access to the gym, Poppy Boy’s Kitchen and more, will be dependent on when and how we can be open at full capacity.
