More than 30 high schools in the DC area have Teens with Heartsongs (TWH) programs that raise funds to cover housing costs for families whose children are being treated at Children’s National Hospital. On Saturday, December 9 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, students participating in TWH at Richard Montgomery and Oakton high schools will host a fundraiser at Soulfull Cafe, and 10% of every order will be donated to Children’s National Hospital. TWH students will also hold a bake sale outside the cafe. Mark you calendars to stop by Soulfull to support this important cause!TWH works in conjunction with The Heartsongs Fund which was established in 2001 as a tribute to Mattie J.T. Stepanek, a child poet, peacemaker and son of Main Street board member Jeni Stepanek (aka Mama Peace).
