Gioconda Padovan is a Venezuelan-born graphic designer, ceramic artist, and art educator based in Maryland. Her creative practice spans drawing, ceramics, and textile art, blending hand-drawn imagery, expressive lines, and thoughtful phrases inspired by travel, nature, and everyday life. Through her work, she explores identity, memory, and the quiet transformation of familiar objects. Alongside her studio practice, Gioconda teaches at VisArts in Rockville, MD, and leads independent art workshops for children and adults, creating welcoming, playful spaces where creativity, experimentation, and connection are encouraged. Gioconda’s exhibit at Main Street includes a special collection of her works painted on fabric.
