A Beautiful Day!
As they stood in front of the crowd of golfers and volunteers on a beautiful Monday morning, Nicol Copeland and his brothers, Danny, Jack and Ethan, talked about the meaning of Main Street. A home for some, a home away from home for others. A place where you always hear “hello.” A community that offers a space of belonging for people with and without disabilities. An opportunity to live affordably, inclusively and respectfully. A movement of inclusion. A place where lives are changed.
“I love my apartment, my friends, and most importantly, my feelings of independence,” Nicol said.
“Every time I leave there I notice that people are walking taller and that I am too,” Jack recalled. “It really is an amazing feeling to be in there and it does feel like a community. When I’m in there I see Nicol thriving, I witness a community of respect and see what happens when people are provided that opportunity—they feel a sense of self and they rise.”
At Main Street, people rise. We see it every day. And the support from the generous supporters of our Golf Outing helps make that possible.
Please enjoy these photos from this incredible day, and save the date for our 6th Annual Golf Outing on September 15, 2025!
