Join yoga instructor Helene Glick on Tuesdays for a vinyasa flow class intended to help stretch, strength, and create heat in the body, as well as calm in the mind.  The class will begin with warm-up stretches, followed by a more rigorous standing sequence linking breath to movement.  The practice will end with grounding postures intended to stretch and create space.  Although not intended for true beginners, poses will be broken down and alignment principles explained so that we all move safely and mindfully on our mats.

This is a hybrid program – members can choose to register to join us in person at Main Street or virtually via Zoom.

Yoga Instructor Helene Glick

Helene Glick began her yoga journey in 2000. Having been a runner for most of her life, Helene was not sure what to expect of her first yoga class. She was immediately hooked! Having worked as an attorney in a large law firm for the ten years prior, yoga was an unexpected reprieve and a true gift. Within months of beginning a regular yoga practice, Helene’s body began to transform. But more significantly, she began to notice a change in her state of mind. She was more relaxed, less reactive, and more present. Hoping to impart this gift to others, in 2011 Helene became 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified and is now an E-RYT (experienced registered yoga teacher).

With her focus on alignment and breath-centered movement, Helene’s goal is to help her students experience the transformative powers of yoga both physically and mentally. Helene takes a hands-on approach to teaching through both verbal cuing and physical adjusting, while creating a challenging and safe environment for students at all levels. In Helene’s class expect an energetic, sweat-inducing flow set to creative sequencing, motivating music and breath-centered movements.
