Public speaking is often named as the single most common phobia. Indeed, something like 75% of all people name this as one of their top fears. At the same time, the need to present to a group is often an essential part of personal and work life. Over the past three decades, Jon Garcia has worked with hundreds of senior business and other leaders to improve their confidence and presentation skills. Jon’s talk will be focused on some practical advice on how to be more effective in presentations, regardless of the context. He will cover basics like, how to start or end a talk most effectively, using gestures and movement, good vocal habits, and tricks for gaining confidence.
