Summer 2025 Internships for College Students

Main Street commits to providing a meaningful internship in which you will have the opportunity to grow, learn, support our team and engage with our community.

Intern Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand the overall concept of Main Street, including the vision, mission, brand, programming, membership model, development goals, community and all other aspects of service
  • Engage with community through programming
  • Provide tours to prospective Main Street members
  • Support Front Desk operations when needed
  • Propose and present a research project pertaining to an area of personal interest related to the skills, experiences, and knowledge you gained through the internship
  • Learn and become proficient on internal software systems such as NeonCRM and Microsoft Office

Interns must also have a laptop available for use.

Important Dates and Schedule Information

Summer 2025 interns must be available for the following dates:

  • Friday, March 28 – Application Deadline
  • First week of April – Interviews
  • Friday, April 18 – Application Results
  • Wednesday, May 28 – Orientation Day
  • Friday, August 1 – Intern-led Program
  • Friday, August 8 – Last Day Celebration

Interns must commit to 15-20 hours each week. Schedules are flexible and will include some weekend and evenings.

Compensation

Upon successful completion of the summer program, interns will receive a $1200 stipend. During their internship, interns also receive a free membership to Main Street, which includes use of the fitness center and access to social, educational, cultural and wellness programs. Interns interested in part-time work after the summer receive a higher rate of pay than those without the internship experience.
